報告人簡介：

Dr. Cher Hon Lau，爱丁堡大学工程学院的高级讲师（副教授）。结业于新加坡义安理工学院、弗林德斯大学和新加坡国立大学，专注于疏散科学等质料科学相关领域的研究，部门研究在中国和澳大利亚乐成转化。在《Science》、《Nature Communications》、《Science Advances》、《Angewandte Chemie International Edition》、《PNAS》等期刊发表60多篇科学论文，总被引超6000多次，h指数为41。

報告簡介：How much plastic waste can we generate and reuse? What can we do to improve plastic recycling rates? Are we able to create a single solution that tackles 3 key environmental issues – plastic pollution, water pollution and greenhouse gas emissions in a single go? This seminar will demonstrate how recent research activities within The Scale-Up Lab at The University of Edinburgh can contribute towards achieving these innovative solutions. The work is based upon transforming plastic waste generated within the University, scaling up the production of these materials underpinned by Green Chemistry concepts and 3D-printing technologies, and validation across research labs around the world for carbon capture, wastewater treatment and resource recovery from municipal wastewater.
